Thursday and Friday focus on Train the Trainer material\, along with course delivery and student safety. \nLEZARD Description \nIn a rescue situation where a helicopter is needed to reach the victim’s location. When the rescuer reaches the victim\,considering the fact that the rescuer must stay connected to a safety system\, there is a particular moment when the rescuer is simultaneously connected to the helicopter and to the wall. This presents a major risk in a rescue situation because the helicopter is attached to the cliff in that moment and cannot release itself in an emergency. Petzl invented a system to specifically address this situation: The LEZARD system\, a releasable helivac lanyard with securing of the drop-off/recovery phases. \n \nGoal of the training\nThe training aims to closely support the use of a very specialized system\, developed by Petzl for helicopter rescue: the LEZARD system.
